From landscaping the gardens of the properties we renovate, providing gardening maintenance to those in need, right through to building a new garden for the community in Coltman St., west Hull, we see gardening as a key element in the regeneration of our local environment.
The new community garden close to our main office aims to support healthy lifestyles in the local community in Hull through providing access to gardening activities and fresh garden produce. We are creating a beautiful and peaceful space in the heart of west Hull that is accessible to those with physical and other special needs.
Work is being completed by community and placement volunteers – people excluded from the employment market, members of our community who are living with and recovering from mental health illness, and those on probation whom we seek to rehabilitate into our community. Thanks to a grant from City Health Care Partnership Foundation, the work is progressing swiftly and local people are already starting to benefit.
