The Bike Project returns unwanted or unused bikes back to good use in the local community while offering volunteers the chance to get involved in bike repair and maintenance.

Our volunteers get the chance to learn a genuinely useful skill set while gaining real world work experience in a growing industry.

Volunteers are a key part of our effort to get more people travelling further, faster, fitter and far more affordably and sustainably than the alternatives.

So, if you’re interested in learning the basics, or you are keen to develop skills you already have, and open to learning and prepared to work hard and to a high standard, we can offer you the chance to come and get your hands dirty putting good bikes back into good use in a well equipped, friendly and supportive workshop.
