As a Registered Charity, Giroscope is managed by a Board of Trustees who meet quarterly.
They oversee the strategy and financial planning of the organisation. Giroscope believes that rigorous and effective governance is the key to a successful charitable organisation.

Meet the Giroscope Trustees…

Alan Brocklehurst – Alan is a chartered accountant and a senior director at one of Hull’s largest independent firm of accountants. He is one of the original group of people that developed the idea of Giroscope in 1984.

Robert Amesbury – Robert was a worker and director of Giroscope for over fourteen years, he was also a founder member. He was also the founder of ‘The Big City Club’ a charity giving support to young adults with special needs from disadvantaged backgrounds and now works for Hull City Council.

Holly Galbraith – Holly is an Architect based and practicing in London, albeit originally from Hull, and is involved in a range of student accommodation projects that focus on utilising prefabrication and off-site construction technologies. Holly volunteered at Giroscope in 2011 assisting with the preparation of our successful LEAF and Empty Homes Fund bids. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2020.
