Giroscope is hiring a Young People’s Caseworker

Secure Futures is a project based in Hull, which works with 16 – 25 year olds who are either homeless, or face the risk of homelessness. It works with young people, using sports as a tool for personal development and change, and also provides housing, support and training.  The project is a partnership project between Giroscope and Vulcan Learning Centre.

We are looking for a motivated individual committed to working with young people; who will often have complex and challenging backgrounds. We are looking for someone with a passion for youth work, who can inspire young people to overcome their barriers, empowering them to engage with sports and helping them into safe, secure housing, employment and training. You will have the support of colleagues who will share your skill, enthusiasm and motivation.  Your work may be challenging, but always diverse and rewarding.

If you are professional, dedicated and passionate about social change, with a desire to support young people and to develop your skills, we would like to hear from you.  We would especially like to hear from you if you have experience working in a similar role. We would encourage applications from people dedicated to their work and having a willingness to share their professionalism, judgement and experience.
