Maintenance Worker/Handy Person

This is a great opportunity to work for a Hull based housing charity. Giroscope is looking to employ a general handy person on a full time basis. If you have sound knowledge of property maintenance and repairs we would like to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out day-to-day minor maintenance jobs and repairs to a high standard, contributing to a happy and comfortable environment for Giroscope tenants.

Giroscope is a west Hull based Charity (Est 1986) which currently owns over 100 properties in and around west Hull.  We acquire and refurbish empty properties for affordable letting for those in housing need, and workspace for small businesses and other charities. This work is undertaken by a team of skilled/semi-skilled staff and volunteers.

Candidates for this position need to be able to drive. The position will require the successful candidate to be flexible, adaptable to a varied job role, and a genuine team player. Tasks include trade skills, repair and maintenance work both interior and exterior; from fixing a WC to changing a lock to painting and caretaking duties.

37.5 hours/week

£16,500 per annum (depending on experience/skills)

Based at our Coltman Street Office, HU3 2SJ
