GIROTECH

Our community computer project, gives donated devices new life while breaking down the barriers of digital exclusion. By refurbishing PCs, laptops, tablets and phones to high standards, including providing a secure data sanitisation service to HMG IS5 standard. We make essential technology affordable and accessible for those who need it most. From our base at Selby Street Yard, we offer quality refurbished devices, low-cost repairs, responsible recycling, free data for people in urgent need and friendly beginner IT classes.

GiroTech provides a supportive space where our team, many of whom are neurodivergent, can gain skills and confidence through practical, hands-on work. As active members of the National Digital Inclusion Network, the National Data Bank and the National Device Bank, we are part of a wider movement creating fairer futures through access to technology. We rely on donated devices from individuals and businesses to continue this work. When upgrading your tech, please consider supporting us.

To donate, volunteer or arrange a repair, email girotech@giroscope.org.uk.
