St Matthew’s Community Enterprise Centre is the latest expression of that approach: an ambitious new space designed to help businesses, organisations and ideas take root and grow.

St Matthew’s Community Enterprise Centre is a restored Grade II listed building with a bold future. It brings together offices, coworking, meeting rooms and event space for businesses, organisations and people with ideas they want to grow.
We are looking for an enterprising, commercially minded and people-focused Business Centre Manager to help make St Matthew’s a thriving place for business and community.
More than managing a building
A successful community and enterprise centre is not simply a collection of occupied rooms.
It is a place people choose to return, and somewhere people want to talk about. A place where useful conversations happen, relationships grow and new ideas begin to take shape.
You will lead the day-to-day operation and commercial development of St Matthew’s, helping to increase occupancy, grow bookings and develop new sources of income.
Just as importantly, you will create a welcoming and connected environment for the people who work, meet and build their businesses here.
You will get to know our tenants, customers and partners, understand what they are trying to achieve and help make connections that move their ideas forward.
What you will bring
You may have worked in business development, hospitality, workspace or venue management, events, property or another customer-focused setting.
What matters most is that you can combine commercial awareness with a genuine interest in people.
You will be confident that you can generate enquiries, build relationships to develop a loyal customer base. You will be practical, organised and willing to take responsibility for making things happen.
You will also understand that the way we work matters.

What we offer
The salary starts at £35,000, depending on relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
You will also receive 25 days’ annual leave, plus public holidays, and the opportunity to work in an organisation with strong local roots, an independent spirit and a long record of turning possibilities into action.
The role will require some flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
