Connecting the pleasures of life with the ground we walk on.
Out on the Tiles is a community-focused project that explores collective learning through co-designing vibrant floor tiles. Through coming together to design and make tiles, residents reflect on HU3’s diverse cultures, on community life and on the social uses of shared spaces. Together, they reimagine how public spaces in our area can be lively, inclusive and engaging.
Out on the Tiles collaborates with 8 HU3 organisations to extend beyond tile-making to cultural activities such as film-screenings, puppet shows, cooking sessions and breakfast radio programmes. These activities foster encounters between people from different backgrounds, transforming the floors we step on into spaces that cultivate balance, connection, and the everyday pleasures of shared social life.
